Natasha's Journey to Becoming an IFBB Pro
- What do you love most about competing?
I enjoy competing for several reasons. Firstly, it’s a fantastic way to challenge myself both physically and mentally. Lifting weights and pushing my limits helps me build discipline and resilience, which translates into other aspects of my life.
- How long did it take for you to become a pro?
I embarked on my bodybuilding journey in 2020, during the Covid pandemic. After spending eight years as a CrossFitter, I had always been inspired by the dedication and physiques of competitive bodybuilders. It felt like the right moment to push myself with a new fitness challenge.
In 2021, I participated in my first competition. However, I took a year off to focus on a career change before returning to bodybuilding in 2023, where I competed in my second show and secured the overall title in Open Figure, qualifying me for Nationals.
To prepare for the 2024 Nationals, I did a warm-up competition, where I again achieved the overall title in Open Figure. On July 4th, I competed in my first national show in New Jersey and earned my pro card.

Wendy's Journey to Becoming an IFBB Pro
- What do you love most about competing?
I love the personal challenge. Digging deep challenging myself to see if I have what it takes to bring something better than the previous show. I love that challenge. I don’t particularly love being on stage, I’m actually very modest, go figure.

- How long did it take for you to become a pro?
My first show was Sampson Ace of Stage at in Sept 2022, so it took me just shy of 2 years to get my pro card.
- Top advice for aspiring pros?
- My advise would be not to compare yourself to other competitors and that is definitely hard to do. Focus on yourself, keep the “me vs me” mentality. When you feel like you can’t, remember that you CAN!
- Save the excuses and push forward because that is the mentality for success. Listen to your trainer, they can see what you can’t see. Prep definitely has its hard times but just remember it’s temporary and the outcome far outweighs the temporary struggles.
- Mostly, be a good human, support your fellow athletes! We are all pushing to be our best and how nice is it to have someone who is pushing as hard as you acknowledge your hard work.
Mandy's Journey to Becoming an IFBB Pro
- What do you love most about competing?
- The thrill of being in the spotlight is exhilarating. It's where I shine brightest and where all my hard work pays off. I appreciate the art of presentation. From getting my makeup done to putting on a sparkling bikini, I enjoy the process of preparing myself for the stage.
- The atmosphere on show day, with its glitz and glamour, is something I love. It's not just about the competition but also about the entire ambiance and energy of the event. the music sets the tone, and I love the feeling of strutting my stuff in front of the judges. It's a moment where I feel like I'm showcasing my best self.
- The exhilaration of competing and presenting myself is akin to feeling explosive and vibrant, like a firework bursting in the sky. It's a moment of personal triumph and expression.
- How long did it take for you to become a pro?
Took me almost 4 years to turn Pro.
- Top advice for aspiring pros?
My advice for aspiring pros: Don't give up. Hard work, dedication, and consistency always pays off. If you want something bad enough, you will get it! Just keep swimming! 🙂
